NON ALCOHOLIC

Comes in tinnies, and I'm all about the tinnies. And fancy RTDs really. I've had the Grove 42 non-alcoholic 'gin inspired distillate' before - on its own and with house made gin and tonics - and I wasn't too thrilled. This is bang on for a replacement gin and tonic, though. To be honest, I'm the kind of person who would drink tonic water on its own. I like the bitter-freshness a lot. So maybe it's no surprise that this made me happy.
It's super fragrant, with lemongrass, citrus and quinine coming out. Bitterness dominates the first sip, but the more you drink the more it mellows out. It's got complexity, which is what a lot of non-alcoholic imitations lack, really. Lemongrass, lemon juice, orange peel, green apple and spices. It really goes to show just how much a good mixer can bring to the table. You might argue that I may as well just be drinking a tonic water, but then I wouldn't be getting that nice spice element which this has. It looks like a GnT, it smells like a GnT, and it tastes like a GnT.
